Walmart seller lessons: eight short modules, in order

Eight Walmart seller lessons of about eight to ten minutes each.

Each one teaches one part of selling on Walmart Marketplace and ends with a checklist you can finish the same day.

Take them in order if you are new: how Marketplace works, the application, item setup, pricing rules, fulfillment, performance standards, advertising and, for Amazon brands, adding Walmart to what you already run. Every Walmart fact in them was checked on Walmart's own pages on Oct 20, 2026.

Most new stores take months to find steady sales, and some never do. Inventory, platform fees, freight and ad spend are paid by you.

Which Walmart seller lessons should you take, and in what order?

All eight, in this order, if you are not on Walmart yet. If you already sell, start with the one that matches your problem.

We put WFS (module 05) before performance standards (module 06) because the fulfillment choice decides which metrics you carry yourself.

How does each lesson work?

The same way every time, so you know where to look. Each module has the lesson, a worked example with sample figures, step-by-step instructions using Seller Center's own page names, common mistakes, key takeaways, a do-this-now checklist, a linked video or tool, a short FAQ and one problem in sellers' own words with its fix. Mark a module done and it ticks off in "Your progress", which is saved in your browser only.

The lessons are free and ungated: no sign-up, no fee and no certificate. They are not a course. For the screens themselves, Walmart's own Seller Academy on Marketplace Learn has certification lessons and video tutorials; our lessons add the operator view: what to check, in what order and what it costs when it goes wrong.

Where do the lessons fit in the Walmart guide?

They sit inside the three stage pages. Modules 01 to 03 support Start: from zero to first sales. Modules 04 to 07 support Scale: to about $1M a year. Module 08 supports Beyond $1M. The problems and fixes library links back to the module behind each fix.
