Quick answer
An ecommerce operations agency runs the daily back office of an online store: inventory and purchase orders, listings, order exceptions, customer messages, account health, reimbursement claims and reporting. Ecom Relays does this for US brands on Amazon, Walmart and Shopify, in the client's own accounts, for a fixed monthly fee published on our pricing page.
What Ecom Relays is not
-
Not a store for sale.
We do not sell stores, and we never promise income.
-
Not a course.
No coaching program, no group calls, no upsell to a mastermind.
-
Not an ad agency paid on spend.
Ad management is a flat monthly fee. It never rises with your ad spend.
-
Not a seat-rental VA service.
A named ops lead runs the work. Even when you hire a dedicated team through us, we recruit, supervise and replace the people; you do not manage them alone.
We work with operating brands doing $1M to $15M a year on Amazon, Walmart or Shopify. We also work with founders who have the budget for inventory, fees and ads, whether they bring a real product or want our help finding one.
One team across Amazon, Walmart and Shopify
The same ops lead sees all three channels and your 3PL, so a problem on one is caught before it spreads to the others.
One stock count across all three and your 3PL, so the same unit is not sold twice.
What does an ecommerce operations agency do?
It runs the work that keeps orders flowing and margin intact, every business day, so the founder stops being the operations system. At Ecom Relays that work has a fixed rhythm you can check.
| When | What we do | What you see |
|---|---|---|
| Every business day | Stock and inbound checked, order exceptions cleared, tier-one tickets answered, Amazon and Walmart account health checked | A log of the day's work in your workspace |
| Every week | Margin, stockouts and response times reviewed, reorder plan, account health check-in | A KPI review on a fixed day |
| Every month | Fee and 3PL invoice audit, reimbursement claims filed and tracked | A written operations report |
| Every quarter | Operating review against your starting baseline, next automations chosen, channel and catalog plan | A quarterly review meeting |
Many agencies report clicks and ROAS. We report margin, stockouts and response times, with the period and source on every number.
Why operations decide margin in 2026
The channels are growing and the rules keep changing, which makes the daily work harder to do by hand. A few dated facts:
-
US retail ecommerce sales were $340.2 billion in Q2 2026, 17.1% of all retail
US Census Bureau, released Aug 18, 2026; estimates are subject to revision
-
Walmart's US marketplace sales grew more than 50% in the quarter ended Jul 31, 2026
Walmart Q2 FY27 release, Aug 20, 2026
-
Amazon fees for referral, FBA and ads can take more than 50% of a seller's revenue
Marketplace Pulse, Feb 13, 2023
-
Amazon raised FBA fees by an average of $0.08 per unit sold on Jan 15, 2026 (Amazon, Oct 15, 2025) and added a 3.5% fuel and logistics surcharge on FBA fees from Apr 17, 2026
Digital Commerce 360, Apr 3, 2026
-
Product titles on Amazon are capped at 75 characters in every category except media from Jul 27, 2026. Longer titles get rewritten
Amazon announcement of Jun 10, 2026, as reported by PPC Land
-
Marketplace teams spend an average of 36% of their week on manual updates
vendor estimate: ChannelEngine survey, Oct 7, 2025
That is the market. It is not a forecast of what any one store will earn.
Which path fits your store?
There are two doors, and each has a managed option for owners who want more of the work taken off their desk. Every fixed price below is the published list price.
Brands selling $1M+ a year
- 01
Profit Leak Scan.
Free. Report within 48 hours of working read-only access.
- 02
14-Day Ops Foundation.

Or add a Dedicated Ops Team. Named, full-time people who work only on your business: an Amazon account manager, a listing and catalog specialist, a customer support agent, a PPC specialist, a Shopify developer and other roles. Founders starting a new store
- 01
Launch Readiness Check.
Free. Written plan within 3 business days: fees and margin per unit on each channel, a paperwork check and an honest go or no-go.
- 02
Store Launch.
Amazon $1,499, Walmart $1,499, Shopify $999; any two for $2,499, all three for $3,499. 30 days of support included.
- 03
Store Care.
Starter $399 a month, Plus $699 a month. A named team runs the store day to day; you approve prices, purchases and ad budgets.
Or choose Full Relay, our managed store service. We research the product with you, find and vet suppliers, set up and launch the store in your name, then run it day to day. You approve every product, supplier, price and purchase, and you pay suppliers directly. Two ways to pay: a $2,499 service fee plus a commission on the store's results at a rate set in your written agreement, or $1,499 onboarding then $999, $1,999 or $3,999 a month. See Full Relay
Owner-light, not owner-free. You keep the accounts, brand, inventory, money and decisions, and you spend about 2 to 4 hours a week on approvals. Store Launch and Store Care start from a product you already have; product research and sourcing are part of Full Relay only. Most new stores take months to find steady sales, and some never do. Inventory, platform fees, freight and ad spend are paid by you and are not refundable by us if a product does not sell.

Agency, VA, in-house hire or an operations team?
Four ways to get operations done, compared on what buyers ask us about most. Market figures are dated and sourced; read them as ranges, not quotes.
| Typical marketplace agency | Virtual assistant service | In-house ops manager | Ecom Relays Ops Desk | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| How it is paid | Monthly retainer; many add 10% to 20% of ad spend or 3% to 10% of revenue (SupplyKick, Sep 14, 2026) | Hourly or per seat | Salary; US median pay for general and operations managers $105,770 (BLS, May 2025), about $151,100 once benefits at 30.0% of total compensation are counted (BLS, Jun 2026) | Fixed monthly fee, published; never a percent of revenue, profit or ad spend |
| Who runs daily operations | Usually ads and listings; operations vary | You direct the work | One person, with gaps for leave and turnover | A named ops lead and pod, with a written daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly rhythm |
| Contract | 6 or 12 months common; exit fees of 1 to 3 months' retainer (SupplyKick, Sep 14, 2026) | Varies | Employment | First term 3 months, then month to month with 30 days' notice by email; no exit fee |
| Who owns the work | Often the agency's tools and reports | Yours, if documented | Yours | Every account, listing, workflow, dashboard, SOP and report stays in your accounts |
| Time to start | Varies | Days | 39 to 45 days median to fill a nonexecutive role (SHRM, 2025 to 2026) | Foundation live in 14 business days from full access |
If you want full-time people rather than a shared pod, a Dedicated Ops Team sits between the last two columns: your own named staff, recruited and managed by us. Read the full comparison
Our terms, published before you ask
-
Fixed, published fees.
Store Care, Ops Desk, the Foundation, launches, Relay Modules and add-ons are fixed fees, never a percentage of your sales or ad spend. Anyone at the same stage pays the same published price.
-
3 months, then month to month.
Store Care and Ops Desk have a first term of 3 months, then 30 days' notice by email from either side. No exit fee.
-
Response standards with a credit.
First reply to client requests within 4 business hours (urgent issues 1 hour). A month under 95% earns a 10% credit on that month's fee.
-
Account health the same day.
Amazon and Walmart health warnings are acted on the same business day.
-
Built to spec.
Relay Modules that fail acceptance are fixed free for 60 days.
-
A clean exit.
Handover pack within 5 business days of the end date, access removed within 24 hours, data returned or deleted within 30 days.
Contract terms usually arrive inside a proposal, after a sales call. Ours are here, and the signed agreement says the same thing.
Full Relay is the one service with a commission option: on its performance model, the rate is set in your written agreement before any work starts. Its retainer model is a fixed monthly fee.
Founding clients get 20% off launch fees, add-ons and the Foundation, plus 20% off monthly plans for the first 6 months. It applies to the first 25 clients or until Jan 31, 2027, whichever comes first.
Your accounts stay yours
We never ask for an owner password. On Amazon we use Seller Central's own permission tools for outside providers. On Walmart we use a limited role while you keep Admin. On Shopify we use collaborator access. Every person has a named login with multi-factor authentication and only the permissions the work needs.
We never take bank, payout or legal-entity permissions. Each client is worked in its own isolated environment on company-managed devices, so your account is never mixed with another seller's. NDA and Data Processing Addendum ready to sign.
If you leave, you keep everything: accounts, listings, logins, workflows, dashboards, SOPs and reports.
Automations built in your accounts, not ours
Each Relay Module fixes one recurring problem, is built to a written spec in your tools and is documented and handed over. Standard modules are $750; advanced, multi-system modules are $1,500 to $3,500.

Ecomrelays LLC is a Texas company based at 597 Mountcastle Dr, Rockwall, TX 75087. Part of our team works outside the US, as one managed team with a named US-facing lead. We are staffed 9am to 6pm US Central, Monday to Friday.

Two doors, both free, both in writing, with no sales call required.
Or talk to an ops lead (free). A real person replies within one business hour, 9am to 6pm US Central, Monday to Friday.
How much does Ecom Relays cost?
New stores: Store Launch from $999 per channel, then Store Care from $399 a month. Brands at $1M+ a year: a 14-Day Ops Foundation from $1,500, then Ops Desk from $1,499 a month. Relay Modules are $750 to $3,500 each. Full Relay starts at $2,499 plus a commission set in your agreement, or $1,499 onboarding then from $999 a month. A Dedicated Ops Team is each person's salary at cost plus $399 a month per person. Every fixed price is on our pricing page.
What does an ecommerce operations agency do?
It runs the daily back office of your store: inventory and purchase orders, listings, order exceptions, customer messages, account health, reimbursement claims and reporting. We do this every business day, review the numbers with you every week, send a written report every month and review the quarter against your starting baseline.
Who is Ecom Relays for?
Operating brands selling $1M to $15M a year on Amazon, Walmart or Shopify whose founder is still the operations system, and founders with the budget for inventory, fees and ads who want to launch properly, with their own product or one we research and source with them through Full Relay. We are not for anyone looking to buy a store or be promised earnings.
Do you need my Seller Central, Seller Center or Shopify password?
No, never. We use named access with only the permissions each task needs: Seller Central's permission tools on Amazon, a limited role on Walmart while you keep Admin and collaborator access on Shopify. We never take bank, payout or legal-entity permissions, and we remove our access within 24 hours when the work ends.
How long is the contract, and how do I leave?
Store Care, Ops Desk, Full Relay's retainer and a Dedicated Ops Team have a first term of 3 months, then run month to month with 30 days' notice. There is no exit fee on Store Care or Ops Desk. When you leave, we send a handover pack within 5 business days, remove access within 24 hours and return or delete your data within 30 days.
Who will work on my account, and where is your team?
A named ops lead you can call, supported by a pod. Their names are on the proposal before you sign. Ecomrelays LLC is a Texas company. Part of our team works outside the US, as one managed team with a named US-facing lead, staffed 9am to 6pm US Central, Monday to Friday.
How fast do you reply?
A real person replies to new inquiries within one business hour. On monthly plans, client requests get a first reply within 4 business hours and urgent issues, such as a suppressed listing or orders not flowing, within 1 hour. A month in which fewer than 95% of first replies meet the standard earns a 10% credit on that month's fee.
Do you promise sales, profit or rankings?
No. Nobody can control marketplace rankings, approvals or buyer demand, and we do not promise revenue, profit, rankings or ad results. We commit to the process instead: the Foundation live in 14 business days or we keep working at no charge, modules built to a written spec with free fixes for 60 days and written response standards.
Do you have case studies or reviews?
We are a new firm and will not invent proof. Case studies will be published only with each client's written approval, and we invite every client to review us at day 30 and day 90 with no incentive. Until then, the free Profit Leak Scan shows our work on your own data, and you keep the report.
I am starting a new store. Can you help?
Yes, if you have the budget for inventory, fees and ads. If you already have a product, start with the free Launch Readiness Check: a written plan within 3 business days covering fees and margin per unit on each channel, your paperwork and an honest go or no-go. If you want help finding and sourcing a product, talk to an ops lead about Full Relay.
