Free Launch Readiness Check: is your new store ready to sell online?

Send us five numbers about your product.

Within 3 business days you get a written store launch readiness plan: what each channel would cost per unit, what paperwork is missing, which channel to start on and an honest go or no-go.

Written plan within 3 business days · No sales call required · Up to 5 products

Quick answer

The Launch Readiness Check is a free written plan for founders with a real product. Within 3 business days you get fees and margin per unit on Amazon, Walmart and Shopify, a paperwork check, a recommended first channel with a timeline and budget lines, and an honest go or no-go.

Who is the Launch Readiness Check for?

It is for founders and companies with a real product and the budget for inventory, fees and ads. That means your own brand, or wholesale or private label stock that you source and own, plus 2 to 4 hours a week for decisions once the store is running.

Owner-light, not owner-free. We do the setup and the daily work you approve; you make the calls on price, stock and spend.

It is not for:

  • Anyone looking for a store they never touch, or for promised earnings.
  • Resellers without the rights to sell the brand.
  • Dropshipping onto Amazon.

Most new stores take months to find steady sales, and some never do. Inventory, platform fees, freight and ad spend are paid by you and are not refundable by us if a product does not sell.

No product yet? The Check reviews a product you already have. If you want help researching and sourcing one, that work sits in Full Relay, our managed store service, where you still approve every product and supplier.

What do I need to send?

Five things per product, and up to 5 products per check. Rough figures are fine; we mark anything we estimate.

  1. 01The product.

A link, a spec sheet or a photo and a sentence.

  2. 02Landed cost per unit.

Product cost plus freight and duties to a US warehouse.

  3. 03Planned price.

What you intend to charge, or a range.

  4. 04Packed size and weight.

The box as it ships, because fulfillment fees follow size and weight tiers.

  5. 05Paperwork status.

Entity, EIN, ID, bank account, GS1 barcodes, brand and trademark: done, in progress or not started.

What will the store launch readiness plan include?

Four parts, in writing, signed by the person who prepared it. The point is to know whether the numbers work before you pay for inventory.

PartWhat it covers
Unit economicsFees and margin per unit on each channel, using your landed cost and target price: referral or payment fees, fulfillment, storage and an allowance for ads and returns
Paperwork checkEach gap, with the step that closes it and roughly how long that step takes
Channel planWhich channel to start on and why, the order to add the others, a timeline and the budget lines you will carry
Go or no-goIf the numbers do not work, we say so in writing before you spend on inventory, and we say what would have to change

Here is how the unit economics read in a plan, using sample figures for a fictional product.

Illustrative · sample figures

Line, per unitAmazon (FBA)Shopify (own 3PL)
Price$24.99$24.99
Landed cost$6.20$6.20
Channel fees (referral or card fee)$3.75$1.02
Fulfillment and storage$5.10$6.40
Ad allowance$3.00$4.50
Returns allowance$0.75$0.75
Contribution margin$6.19$6.12

The sample shows why the plan works per unit and per channel. Two stores with the same price can land on very different margins once fulfillment and ad costs are in.

Paperwork checklist

Most launch delays are paperwork, not listings. Check each line before you apply anywhere.

  • Business entity and EIN.
  • For Walmart: a business tax ID or business license number (not an SSN) and a record of marketplace or ecommerce sales.
  • Government ID for the account owner.
  • A business bank account and a card that can be charged.
  • A phone number you control.
  • GS1 barcodes, or a GTIN exemption you plan to apply for.
  • A trademark filing, if you want Brand Registry.
  • Product photos and files: images, dimensions, ingredients or materials, safety documents where your category needs them.
  • Product liability insurance, if your category or channel requires it.

We do not give legal or tax advice. Ask your accountant or attorney which entity suits you.

What happens after the plan?

You decide. Plenty of founders take the plan and launch on their own, and that is a good use of it. If you want us to do the setup, the next steps have published prices.

  • Account Setup:

$299 per marketplace, credited in full to a Store Launch bought within 30 days.

  • Store Launch:

Amazon $1,499, Walmart $1,499, Shopify $999; any two for $2,499, all three for $3,499. 30 days of support included. See the Amazon, Walmart and Shopify launch pages for scope.

  • Store Care:

$399 or $699 a month to run the store day to day.

  • Full Relay:

if you would rather we research and source the product with you and run the store, $2,499 plus a commission set in your agreement, or $1,499 onboarding then from $999 a month.

Listings usually go live around week 6 of a Store Launch. When sales start, and how many, depends on your product, price, reviews and ads; we do not predict a number. Every price is on our pricing page.

Questions

Launch Readiness Check questions

Talk to an ops lead (free)
Is the Launch Readiness Check really free?

Yes. There is no fee, no payment step and no sales call. You keep the written plan whether or not you buy anything from us, and if the numbers do not work we say so in writing before you spend on inventory. Some founders use the plan to launch on their own, which is a fine outcome for us.

What do I need to send?

Your product, its landed cost per unit, your planned price and its packed size and weight. Also tell us where your paperwork stands: entity, EIN, ID, bank account, GS1 barcodes and trademark. One check covers up to 5 products. If you do not have a figure yet, send your best estimate and we will mark it in the plan.

How long does it take?

A written plan within 3 business days of receiving those five things. The clock starts when the numbers arrive, not when you fill in the form. If something is missing, we estimate it, mark it as an estimate and say what would make it exact, rather than holding the plan back.

Will you tell me which product to sell?

Not in this check. The Launch Readiness Check reviews the product you bring: what it would cost to sell on each channel and whether the margin works. If you want help finding and sourcing a product, that is part of Full Relay, our managed store service, where you still approve every product and supplier and pay suppliers directly.

Do I need an LLC?

Walmart asks for a business tax ID or business license number and does not accept an SSN. It also asks for a history of marketplace or ecommerce sales, so a brand-new business may need to start on another channel first. Amazon and Shopify accept individuals as well as businesses. Which structure suits you is a legal and tax question, so ask your accountant or attorney; we do not give legal or tax advice. The plan lists what each channel needs.

Which channel should I start on?

It depends on your margin per unit, your paperwork and how you want to reach buyers. A product with a thin margin may work on Shopify and fail on Amazon once FBA and ads are in, or the reverse. The plan recommends a first channel with the reason, a timeline and budget lines, using each platform's published fees.

How soon could I make my first sale?

Listings usually go live around week 6 of a Store Launch. When sales start, and how many, depends on your product, price, reviews and ads, and we do not predict a number. Most new stores take months to find steady sales, and some never do.

What happens if I want you to launch the store?

The plan lists the next step at published prices: Account Setup at $299 per marketplace (credited to a launch within 30 days), Store Launch from $999 per channel with 30 days of support, then Store Care from $399 a month. If you want us to research and source the product too, an ops lead can walk you through Full Relay.
