What does Walmart marketplace management include?
It includes eight areas of work, each on a fixed rhythm, with a clear line on what stays your decision. Walmart rewards sellers who stay inside its rules every day: price, shipping speed, stock, content and service. Most problems we see are not strategy problems. They are small checks nobody owned.
| Area | What we do | How often | What you approve |
|---|---|---|---|
| Account health | Check all eight performance standards in Seller Center and act on any warning | Every business day; warnings acted on the same business day | Nothing; we tell you what changed and what we did |
| Items and listing quality | Clear unpublished items and item errors, improve content scores, keep variant groups clean | Daily checks, weekly fixes | New content before it goes live |
| Pricing rules and the buy box | Run Repricer strategies with a minimum and maximum price on every item, check reference prices, watch shipping charges | Every business day | Price floors and ceilings, in writing |
| WFS | Shipment plans, labels and poly bags, stock cover, aged stock before the long-term storage fee starts | Weekly; daily from Oct to Dec | Purchase orders and removals |
| Orders and customer messages | Seller-fulfilled orders, valid tracking, replies inside Walmart's 48-hour window | Every business day | Refunds above a limit you set |
| Claims and disputes | WFS receiving shortage claims, customer-return disputes, fee checks | Checked weekly, filed and tracked monthly | Nothing; included with no commission |
| Reporting | KPI review and a written report | Weekly on a fixed day; written report monthly | Nothing |
| Walmart Connect ads (add-on) | Sponsored Products on rules you approve; see Walmart advertising management | Weekly | Budgets and bid limits |
You keep the seller account, the brand, the inventory, the money and every decision. Every workflow, SOP and report we build lives in your accounts and in your name.

What you pay Walmart directly.
Walmart charges no setup or monthly fee. It takes a referral fee on each sale, set by the item's contract category: 15% for the Everything Else category; each category has its own rate (Walmart referral fee schedule, Mar 9, 2026). WFS fees, ad spend, inventory and freight are paid by you, straight to Walmart or your suppliers.
How our pricing compares.
Eva publishes a 20% success fee for Walmart reimbursements and lists marketplace expansion from $1,000 a month (Eva pricing page, modified Oct 3, 2026). Our Walmart Launch is $1,499 with the scope above, and claims are included in every monthly plan with no commission.
Terms.
Store Care and Ops Desk start with a 3-month first term, then run month to month with 30 days' notice by email from either side. No exit fee. Prices exclude sales tax where it applies. See pricing and terms.
Want a team to research products and suppliers as well as run the store? That is Full Relay on Walmart, our managed store service. It is priced separately and offers a commission option set in the written agreement before work starts.
Founding clients: 20% off launch fees, add-ons and the Foundation, plus 20% off monthly plans for the first 6 months. Open to the first 25 clients or until Jan 31, 2027, whichever comes first.
Walmart's eight performance standards, and how we watch them
Walmart measures every seller on eight standards. If you miss them, Walmart says you must take immediate action, and failing to do so may lead to suppression, suspension or termination of your account. We check each one every business day.
| Metric | Walmart standard | Window | What we do |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cancellation rate | 2% or below | 30 or 60 days | Keep one stock count across channels so orders are not canceled for stock |
| On-time delivery rate | 90% or above | 30 or 60 days | Set ship times you can meet; review late orders by carrier |
| Valid tracking rate | 99% or above | 30 or 60 days | Confirm tracking on every seller-fulfilled order the same day |
| Seller response rate | 95% or above, answered within 48 hours | 30 or 60 days | Answer customer messages every business day |
| Negative feedback rate | 2% or below | Orders sold in the past 60 days | Read every one- and two-star rating; fix the cause, not only the reply |
| Return rate | 6% or below (9% for resold items) | Orders delivered in the past 60 days | Report return reasons by SKU; fix listing or packaging causes |
| Item not received rate | 2% or below | Orders with expected delivery in the past 60 days | Chase stuck shipments before the customer does |
| Late shipment rate | 5% or below | 30 or 60 days | Flag unshipped orders before the expected ship date |
Source: Walmart Marketplace Learn, Seller performance standards, updated Jul 28, 2026. If you use WFS, Walmart says most of these metrics will be met for you, except the negative feedback rate.
Meeting the standards keeps the account open. Pro Seller status asks for more: on-time delivery of 95% or above, cancellations of 1.5% or below, seller responsiveness of 95% or above, a shipping speed score of 50% or above and content quality and price competitiveness scores of 75% or above (Walmart Pro Seller page, modified Jun 26, 2026). We report your position against both every week.

Why Walmart items get unpublished, and what we do about it
An unpublished item cannot be bought. Walmart's developer documentation names five common reasons: the price fails Walmart's reasonable price check, the primary image is missing, the start date is in the future, the end date has passed or there is no price (Walmart developer docs, updated Jul 30, 2026). Walmart also unpublishes items for a pricing error, extreme shipping charges and policy violations.
We review the Unpublished items dashboard every business day, fix the cause and keep a log of every item, reason and date fixed. When the cause is price, we show you Walmart's reference price and your margin at that price before anything changes. You decide.
Read the full list of reasons and fixes: Walmart item unpublished: why it happens and how to republish. Ongoing content work is covered on Walmart listing optimization.
Pricing rules and the buy box on Walmart
Walmart automatically unpublishes offers "priced egregiously higher than prices currently or recently offered for the same item on Walmart.com, a competing website", and it reviews the shipping fee as well as the item price. Offers priced well above the market but not high enough to unpublish lose the Add to Cart button and stay buyable only through other seller options (Walmart Marketplace Learn, Pricing rules, updated Dec 12, 2025).
The buy box goes to the offer Walmart rates highest on price, shipping speed, shipping cost, in-stock rate, content quality and post-purchase experience (same source). So we work all six, not price alone:
- Floors first.
Every SKU gets a margin floor after the referral fee, WFS or shipping cost, ad cost and landed cost. Repricer will not assign a strategy to an item without a minimum and maximum price, so the floor goes in from day one (Walmart Repricer overview, updated May 26, 2026).
- One price story across channels.
A sale on Amazon or your own store can change the price Walmart compares you with. We plan promotions across channels so a discount on one does not unpublish items on another.
- Speed and stock.
Faster delivery promises through WFS or your 3PL. No stockouts on the items that matter.
WFS: when we use it and how we run it
WFS stores, picks, packs and ships your Walmart orders. In its Q2 FY27 results, Walmart said nearly 50% of its marketplace business flowed through its fulfillment services (Walmart, Aug 20, 2026). It can help with shipping speed and covers most performance metrics for WFS orders, but it has its own fees and its own rules for labels, storage and aged stock.
| WFS fee | Rate | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Fulfillment, standard items up to 1 lb | $3.45 a unit (2 lb $4.95, 3 lb $5.45, heavier items by weight) | Walmart WFS fees, updated May 27, 2026 |
| Storage, Jan to Sep | $0.75 per cubic foot a month | Same |
| Storage, Oct to Dec | $0.75 per cubic foot a month, plus $1.50 for items stored more than 30 days | Same |
| Long-term storage, 366 to 450 days | $2.25 per cubic foot a month | Effective Jun 30, 2026 |
| Long-term storage, over 450 days | $7.50 per cubic foot a month | Effective Jun 30, 2026 |
| Unplanned prep chargeback | $0.65 a unit for a missing or incorrect label; $0.80 for a missing or incorrect poly bag | Same |
| Return processing, standard items up to 1 lb | $4.70 a unit, waived when Walmart is at fault | Same |
What we do: build every inbound plan with you, label and bag to Walmart's rules before units leave your warehouse, keep cover in line with sales and review aged stock every month, so you can choose to sell through, move or remove units before the long-term fee applies at day 366.

Walmart reimbursement claims, included with no commission
Walmart pays back some losses, but only when a seller asks in time and with the right documents.
| Claim | Window | What Walmart pays | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| WFS receiving shortage (units lost or misplaced after delivery to a fulfillment center) | Open between 10 and 50 days after delivery, as shown by tracking | Estimated sales proceeds based on the item's average sales price, in the next payment cycle, if Walmart finds WFS responsible | Walmart Marketplace Learn, updated Aug 6, 2026 |
| WFS customer-return disputes (wrong, missing or damaged item, item not received back, wrong disposition) | Within 45 days of the dispute window opening | Decided case by case; full or partial | Walmart Marketplace Learn, updated Apr 2, 2026 |
Walmart does not accept appeals on shortage claims it closes without conclusive evidence, so the paperwork has to be right the first time: proof of delivery, bills of lading with signatures, shipment IDs and case counts. We check for claims weekly, file and track them monthly and list each one in your report as "may be owed" until Walmart pays it. Claims are included in every monthly plan with no commission.
Amazon, Walmart and Shopify under one ops team
-
One stock count
across Amazon FBA, Walmart WFS, Shopify and your 3PL, so the same unit is not sold twice. See multichannel inventory and 3PL management.
-
Catalog mapped, not copied.
Walmart has its own item rules and attributes. We map your Amazon or Shopify catalog to them instead of pasting listings across.
-
Prices planned together
, so a promotion on one channel does not trip Walmart's pricing rules.
-
One weekly report
with margin by SKU and channel after every fee.
Most Walmart sellers we talk to also sell on Amazon, their own Shopify store or both. Running Walmart as a separate project is where overselling and price conflicts start. On Ops Desk, one named ops lead runs all your channels:
If you already have an ads agency, we work alongside it. We run operations; they run ads. Our other channel pages: Amazon store management and Shopify store management.
What access do we need on Walmart?
Read and Write for named users on paid work, Read Only for the free scan, and Admin stays with you. Walmart Seller Center has three user roles. Admin can manage every area, create users and accept binding legal agreements for your company. Read and Write can do operational work such as item setup and reports. Read Only can view data and download reports (Walmart Marketplace Learn, Add a new user, updated Jul 2, 2025).
| What we do | Role we ask for | Who holds Admin |
|---|---|---|
| Free Profit Leak Scan | Read Only, for named users | You |
| Store Care, Ops Desk, launches | Read and Write, for named users | You |
We never ask for your password and never touch bank, payout or legal-entity settings. Every user is a named person with MFA. Access is removed within 24 hours when someone leaves the team or the work ends. NDA and Data Processing Addendum ready to sign. See security and access for the full list.
Ecomrelays LLC is a Texas company. Part of our team works outside the US, as one managed team with a named US-facing lead.
Who this is for, and who it is not for
A good fit:
- Brands selling $1M or more a year across Amazon, Walmart and Shopify that want Walmart run daily without hiring a second team (Ops Desk).
- New and small Walmart stores with a real product and stock to sell (Store Care).
- Amazon brands adding Walmart (Channel Launch, then your monthly plan).
Not a fit:
- Anyone who wants a promised sales figure.
- Dropshipping onto Walmart, or reselling brands without permission.
- Anyone who only needs Walmart ads. We run operations; ads are an add-on to that work.
For new stores, the plain risk: most new stores take months to find steady sales, and some never do. Inventory, platform fees, freight and ad spend are paid by you.
Your first 90 days on Walmart with us
For brands at $1M or more, the first 90 days follow a fixed path from scan to quarterly review.
| When | What happens | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Week 0 | Free Profit Leak Scan with Read Only access | A written report within 48 hours of working access |
| Weeks 1 to 2 | 14-Day Ops Foundation | Walmart connected, one stock count, SOPs, live profit dashboard, handover pack |
| Week 3 | Ops Desk live | Daily checks, weekly KPI review |
| Weeks 4 to 8 | First Relay Modules, usually Account Health Watch and Catalog Ready | Built and documented in your accounts |
| Week 12 | Quarterly review | Results against your baseline and the next quarter's plan |
Is Walmart worth running properly?
Walmart U.S. reported more than 50% growth in marketplace net sales in the quarter that ended Jul 31, 2026 (Walmart Q2 FY27 earnings release, Aug 20, 2026). Walmart Marketplace had about 200,000 active sellers in Jun 2025 (Marketplace Pulse). That is the market. It is not a forecast of what any one store will earn.
What it does mean is that Walmart now rewards the same discipline Amazon does: clean items, prices inside the rules, fast delivery and fast replies. Those are operations jobs, and they are the jobs we run.

How much do Walmart marketplace management services cost?
Store Care runs a new or small Walmart store from $399 a month. Ops Desk runs Walmart for brands at $1M or more from $1,499 a month, after a 14-Day Ops Foundation from $1,500. A new Walmart account launch is $1,499, one time. Walmart's referral fee, WFS fees, ad spend and inventory are paid by you, directly to Walmart or your suppliers.
Do you charge a percentage of sales or of reimbursements?
Not on Store Care, Ops Desk, launches or add-ons: those are fixed published fees, and reimbursement claims are included with no commission. Ad management, if you want it, is a flat $299 a month up to $5,000 in spend, or $599 a month up to $20,000. Full Relay, our managed store service, is the one service with a commission option, agreed in writing before work starts.
What contract do I sign?
Store Care and Ops Desk start with a 3-month first term. After that they run month to month, and either side can end them with 30 days' notice by email. There is no exit fee. When the work ends, you get a handover pack within 5 business days, our access is removed within 24 hours and your data is returned or deleted within 30 days.
Do you need my Walmart Seller Center password or Admin access?
No. You add our named team members as users with the Read and Write role, or Read Only for the free scan. Admin stays with you, because Walmart Admins can accept binding legal agreements for your company. We never touch bank, payout or legal-entity settings, and every user has MFA.
Can you manage Walmart if we already have an Amazon agency?
Yes. Many brands keep their ads or Amazon agency and hand us the daily operations. We agree in writing who owns what: they run ads, we run items, pricing rules, stock, WFS, account health, customer messages and claims. On Ops Desk, one named ops lead can also run Amazon and Shopify operations, so stock and prices stay in one plan.
Do I have to use WFS?
No. WFS helps with delivery speed and covers most performance metrics for WFS orders, but it adds fulfillment, storage and long-term storage fees. Some items cost less to ship from your own 3PL. We compare both per SKU using Walmart's current fee schedule and your real costs, then recommend. You decide.
Can you get my unpublished items back?
In most cases the fix is in your hands: a price inside Walmart's pricing rules, a primary image, valid start and end dates or a price on the item. We find the reason in Seller Center, fix it and track the item until it shows as published. Walmart says price fixes typically republish within 48 hours. Some policy cases need Seller Support.
Can you help if my Walmart account is suspended?
Yes. We prepare the appeal with the facts Walmart needs and a plan that fixes the cause. A reinstatement appeal is $750 per case, or $500 on a monthly plan. Walmart decides every appeal, so nobody can promise reinstatement. After reinstatement, daily account health checks are part of every monthly plan.
Are you a Walmart Solution Provider?
Not today. We will show our listing on this page only once Walmart accepts our application, and we will never use a Walmart badge before that. Until then, judge us on what you can check: published prices and terms, response standards with a service credit and access you control.
How fast do you reply?
A real person replies within one business hour, 9am to 6pm US Central, Monday to Friday. Once you are a client, requests get a first reply within 4 business hours, or 1 hour when something is urgent, like orders not flowing or an item unpublished. If we miss the 4-hour standard on more than 5% of requests in a month, you get a 10% credit on that month's fee.
