FeeRate
Standard storage$0.75 per cubic foot a month
October to DecemberUp to 30 days stored: $0.75; more than 30 days: an extra $1.50 per cubic foot a month
Long-term storage, from Jun 30, 2026366 to 450 days: $2.25 per cubic foot a month; over 450 days: $7.50
Disposal$0.35 a unit up to 2 lb; $0.35 plus $0.20 for each lb over 2 lb, up to 500 lb
RemovalThe disposal fee plus $0.40 per lb for shipping

An open question, stated plainly. Walmart's page lists the long-term rates by age band but does not say whether they replace the $0.75 standard rate or add to it. This calculator treats them as replacing it, which matches one public worked example (OneCart's WFS fee calculator, vendor). If Walmart confirms otherwise, we will change the tool and log it in the seller rule tracker the same day.

The formula and method

  • Monthly fee = Σ over age bands (units × cubic feet per unit × band rate), where the band rate is $0.75 up to 365 days, $2.25 for 366 to 450 days and $7.50 over 450 days
  • Peak add-on (October to December) = units stored more than 30 days × cubic feet per unit × $1.50
  • Disposal cost = units × disposal fee per unit
  • Removal cost = units × (disposal fee + $0.40 × weight in lb)
  • Months until removal is cheaper = removal cost ÷ monthly fee at the next band

Worked example

Illustrative · sample figures. 300 units at 0.5 cubic feet each, 150 cubic feet in total, each unit weighing 1 lb.

SituationCalculationMonthly fee
November, 200 days old150 × ($0.75 + $1.50)$337.50
Outside October to December, 400 days old150 × $2.25$337.50
Outside October to December, 460 days old150 × $7.50$1,125
October to December, 400 days old150 × ($2.25 + $1.50)$562.50
October to December, 460 days old150 × ($7.50 + $1.50)$1,350

Disposal of all 300 units costs $105 (300 × $0.35). Removal costs about $225 (300 × ($0.35 + $0.40)). At 460 days, one month of storage costs five times the removal cost, so slow stock should leave well before day 450 unless it is about to sell.

Limitations

  • The long-term reading follows the interpretation above until Walmart confirms it.
  • Age is per unit from receipt; enter your own age bands from Seller Center reports.
  • It covers storage, removal and disposal only. Fulfillment fees are in the fee and margin calculator.
  • Removal shipping is estimated from weight; your actual cost depends on the destination.
