Amazon FBA reimbursement service, with no commission
Our Amazon FBA reimbursement service reconciles your FBA inventory every month, files every eligible claim inside Amazon's windows and tracks it to a decision. Claims are included in every monthly plan, and we take no share of what Amazon pays you.
Included in Store Care from $399 a month and Ops Desk from $1,499 a month · 0% commission · Claims filed monthly
Quick answer
An Amazon FBA reimbursement service finds inventory Amazon lost, damaged or never received back, files the claims in Seller Central and tracks them until Amazon decides. Claims for units lost or damaged in fulfillment centers are due within 60 days of the item being reported lost or damaged, and Amazon now pays your manufacturing cost. Ecom Relays files claims every month as part of its monthly plans, with no commission.
What does Amazon owe FBA sellers, and why does it go unclaimed?
Amazon owes you for units it loses or damages, for refunds where the customer never sent the item back and for some removal and inbound losses, but only if you claim in time. Most of it goes unclaimed for a dull reason: nobody owns the monthly reconciliation, and the windows close while the team is busy with something else.
| Claim type | What happened | Window | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lost or damaged in a fulfillment center | A unit went missing or was damaged in Amazon's warehouse | Within 60 days of the item being reported lost or damaged | eComEngine, citing Seller Central help G200213130 |
| Customer refunded, item not returned | Amazon refunded the buyer, but the unit never came back to inventory | 60 to 120 days after the refund or replacement date | Same |
| Removal lost in transit | A removal order shipment to you was lost | 15 to 75 days from shipment creation | Same |
| Other removal issues | A removal arrived short or damaged | Within 60 days of the shipment being delivered back to you | Same |
| Inbound shipment shortage | Amazon received fewer units than you sent | Check the window Seller Central shows for your shipment | Seller Central, per shipment |
| Fee overcharge from wrong dimensions | Amazon measured your item into a higher size tier | Reviewed monthly against your measured dimensions | Your fee reports |
The windows are short and they do not wait for a busy month. A claim missed in March is often gone by May.
What changed: 60-day windows and manufacturing cost
Two policy changes decide what you get back today: shorter windows and a lower basis for payment. Both reward a team that files every month with clean cost data.
- Shorter windows.
Claims for units lost or damaged in fulfillment centers must now be filed within 60 days of the item being reported lost or damaged. Before Oct 23, 2024, sellers had up to 18 months (eComEngine, updated Mar 7, 2025).
- Manufacturing cost, not sale price.
Since Mar 31, 2025, Amazon reimburses lost or damaged stock at manufacturing cost. That means what it costs to source the item, or to make it if you are the manufacturer, and it excludes shipping, handling, customs duties and other costs (eComEngine, citing Seller Central).
- After a customer order.
If an item is lost or damaged after a customer orders it, Amazon pays the sale price on the original order less applicable fees (same source).
- Prep matters now.
Amazon stopped its prep and labeling services for US FBA inventory on Jan 1, 2026. Units that arrive without the prep or labels Amazon requires can lose eligibility for reimbursement if they are lost or damaged (AMZ Prep, vendor summary, checked Oct 20, 2026).
So two things decide what you recover: speed, and an accurate manufacturing cost on every SKU. A missing cost on one SKU means claims on that SKU are paid on whatever Amazon has on file, which may be lower than what the unit really cost you.
How our monthly claim routine works
It is an eight-step reconciliation we run once a month inside your Seller Central, as named users, using Amazon's own case process.
- 01Check manufacturing cost per SKU
against your supplier invoices, and fix anything missing or out of date.
- 02Reconcile the inventory ledger:
units received against units shipped, removed, adjusted and on hand.
- 03Match customer refunds to returned units
, and list refunds where nothing came back.
- 04Check inbound shipments for shortages
and removal orders for losses.
- 05Check fulfillment fees
against your measured dimensions and weights.
- 06File each eligible claim
with its evidence, inside its window.
- 07Track every claim to a decision.
Where Amazon allows it, we reopen a denied claim once with new evidence.
- 08Report monthly:
every claim filed, approved, denied and reopened, with the amount Amazon paid.
Claims are filed in your account by named users. Nothing is filed that we cannot support with your records, because a pattern of weak claims is the last thing you want attached to your account.
What does an FBA reimbursement service cost?
Most services charge a commission of 10% to 25% of what Amazon pays you. Ours is included in Store Care and Ops Desk at 0%, because claims are part of the fixed monthly fee.
| Service | Published fee | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Ecom Relays | 0% commission | Included in Store Care (from $399 a month) and Ops Desk (from $1,499 a month) |
| TrueOps | 10% of recoveries | First $1,000 recovered commission-free for new accounts (AmpliSell, Jul 24, 2026) |
| Eva | 10% of recovered funds | Eva pricing page, modified Oct 3, 2026 |
| Helium 10 Managed Refund Service | 15% to 18%, plus a Helium 10 plan | AmpliSell, Jul 24, 2026 |
| Refully | 18% of recoveries | First $1,000 free for new accounts (AmpliSell, Jul 24, 2026) |
| Threecolts Margin Pro | 15% to 25%, volume-dependent | AmpliSell, Jul 24, 2026 |
| GETIDA | 25% of recovered funds | First $400 waived for new accounts (AmpliSell, Jul 24, 2026) |
| Seller Investigators (Carbon6) | 25%, negotiable for large accounts | AmpliSell, Jul 24, 2026 |
| Canopy Revenue Reclaim | 25% of recovered revenue | Canopy page, modified Aug 24, 2026 |
| Sellerboard Money Back | $19 to $79 a month software, no commission | You file the claims yourself (AmpliSell, Jul 24, 2026) |

Illustrative · sample figures. On $10,000 reimbursed in a year, a 25% commission is $2,500 and a 10% commission is $1,000. On our plans the commission is $0, because claims are part of the fixed monthly fee.
Why no commission: a percentage grows with the amount recovered even when the work does not. A fixed fee keeps our attention on the whole store, including the stock and prep problems that cause the losses in the first place. Store Care, Ops Desk and our add-ons are fixed published fees, never a percentage of sales, ad spend or reimbursements. See our pricing and terms.
Can I buy reimbursement claims on their own?
Not today. Claims are part of Store Care and Ops Desk because they depend on the same monthly inventory reconciliation that keeps your stock and fees right.
If you want to see what may be owed first, the free Profit Leak Scan lists possible claims in its fees and reimbursements section. They are shown as possible claims that may be owed, not confirmed money, because only Amazon decides what it pays.
What we need from you
-
Manufacturing cost per SKU
, or permission to estimate it from your invoices and mark it as an estimate until you confirm it.
-
Supplier invoices
for the units in question, because Amazon can ask for proof of cost.
-
Inbound shipping documents:
carrier proof of delivery, bills of lading and box counts.
-
Seller Central access
for our named users, with the roles we list in writing. Never your owner password.
Four things let us file claims that hold up.
How you see what was filed and paid
Every month your written report carries a claims table: filed, approved, denied, reopened and paid, by claim type. Your reimbursement history also stays in your own Seller Central, where you can check every case.
Sample monthly claims table (Illustrative · sample figures)
| Claim type | Filed | Approved | Denied | Reopened | Amount paid by Amazon |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lost or damaged in a fulfillment center | 14 | 11 | 2 | 1 | $612.40 |
| Refunded, not returned | 9 | 7 | 2 | 0 | $388.15 |
| Inbound shortage | 2 | 1 | 0 | 1 | $96.00 |
Until Amazon pays, every open claim is listed as "may be owed". We never count a claim as money until it arrives.
How claims fit the rest of your Amazon operations
Reimbursements are the cleanup. The cheaper fix is fewer losses. The same team that files claims checks prep and labels before each inbound, watches stock levels and fees on Amazon inventory and fees and keeps your account in good standing through Amazon account health management. For the full 2026 fee picture, read our Amazon FBA fees 2026 guide.
On Walmart, WFS has its own claim rules, including receiving shortage claims between 10 and 50 days after delivery. We file those too, with no commission: see Walmart WFS management.
Proof you can check before you sign
These are written commitments, not claims about results.

- A monthly report listing every claim and its status.
- Named users only, never the owner password; access removed within 24 hours of a team change or the end of the work.

How much does your FBA reimbursement service cost?
It is included in every monthly plan with no commission: Store Care from $399 a month and Ops Desk from $1,499 a month. Most reimbursement services charge 10% to 25% of what Amazon pays you, as published on the dates shown in our comparison table. Amazon fees, inventory and ad spend stay paid by you directly, and our plans have no exit fee after the first 3 months.
Can I hire you only for reimbursements?
Not today. Claims depend on the monthly inventory reconciliation that runs inside Store Care and Ops Desk, so we do not sell them on their own. If you want to see what may be owed before deciding, the free Profit Leak Scan lists possible claims in its fees and reimbursements section, shown as possible claims rather than money due.
How long do I have to file an FBA claim?
For units lost or damaged in fulfillment centers, within 60 days of the item being reported lost or damaged. Customer refund claims open 60 to 120 days after the refund, removal losses in transit run 15 to 75 days from shipment creation and other removal issues are due within 60 days of delivery back to you. Check Seller Central for inbound shortages.
How much does Amazon reimburse for lost inventory?
Since Mar 31, 2025, Amazon pays your manufacturing cost for units lost or damaged in its warehouses, not the sale price. Manufacturing cost is what it costs to source or make the item, excluding shipping, handling and duties. Items lost or damaged after a customer order are paid at the sale price on the order, less applicable fees.
How far back can you claim?
Only as far as Amazon's current windows allow. Since Oct 23, 2024, most warehouse loss claims must be filed within 60 days, down from up to 18 months. We file everything still inside its window in our first month and tell you plainly what is out of reach, rather than implying older claims are still open.
What types of claims do you file?
Warehouse losses and damage, refunds where the unit never came back, inbound shipment shortages, removal order losses and fee overcharges caused by wrong dimensions or weights. Each claim goes in with the evidence Amazon asks for, filed by a named user in your Seller Central. We do not file claims your records cannot support.
Is it safe to let a service file claims for me?
Yes, when it files as named users through Amazon's own case process with evidence and never uses your password. Those are our rules. Our permissions exclude bank, payout and legal entity settings, every user has multi-factor authentication and access is removed within 24 hours of a team change or the end of the work.
What do you need from me?
Manufacturing cost per SKU, supplier invoices, inbound shipping documents and named access in Seller Central for our team. If you do not have costs ready, we estimate them from your invoices, mark them as estimates and ask you to confirm before we rely on them in a claim.
Why don't you charge a commission like other services?
Because a commission grows with the amount recovered even when the work does not. Our fee is fixed and published, so our job is the whole store: fewer losses, cleaner prep, correct fees and claims filed on time. That matches how Store Care, Ops Desk and our add-ons are priced, never as a percentage of sales or ad spend.
How will I know what was recovered?
Your written monthly report lists every claim filed, approved, denied, reopened and paid, by claim type, with the amount Amazon paid. Open claims stay listed as "may be owed" until Amazon pays them. The same history sits in your own Seller Central, so you can check every case yourself.
