Walmart marketplace launch: done-for-you, done right

A Walmart marketplace launch covers the seller application, item setup, fulfillment and the first weeks of selling. We prepare your Walmart application, set up your first 25 items, onboard WFS and ship your first inbound, for a fixed $1,499. The account is in your business name and every decision stays yours.

Walmart Launch $1,499 · Account Setup $299 · Any two launches $2,499 · 30 days of support included

Quick answer

A Walmart marketplace launch covers the seller application, item setup, fulfillment and the first weeks of selling. Ecom Relays does it for a fixed $1,499: application support, up to 25 items set up to Walmart's rules, WFS onboarding and the first inbound shipment, pricing rules you approve and 30 days of support. Walmart decides every application.

Most new stores take months to find steady sales, and some never do. Inventory, platform fees, freight and ad spend are paid by you.

Onboarding adds a few more steps (Walmart Marketplace Learn, Complete onboarding, updated Aug 31, 2026):

  • The personal ID of the applicant or legal representative, and possibly a photo ID with facial recognition check for the primary account holder.
  • Business verification that "can vary from a few minutes to a few business days."
  • Payment setup within 30 days of entering business details. Miss it, and the account is declined and you reapply.
  • A New Seller Payment Hold once you start selling, with a length that depends on your country of incorporation.

If you have no selling history yet, Walmart may not be your first channel. Your free Launch Readiness Check will say so in writing, before you pay us anything.

Done-for-you, done right: what that means here

You own the Walmart account, the brand, the inventory, the money and every decision. Our fee is fixed and published. Your named launch lead runs the daily work. Nobody promises sales, profit or rankings, including us. Owner-light, not owner-free: plan on 2 to 4 hours a week for approvals. If you leave, our access is removed within 24 hours.

Walmart Launch is built for founders and companies with a real product and the budget for inventory, fees and ads.

Choosing what to sell stays your decision. Walmart Launch does not include product research or sourcing. If you want a team to research products and vet suppliers before launch and then run the store, that is Full Relay on Walmart, our managed store service, where you still approve every product and supplier and pay them directly.

What you provide, and what you pay for

You bring the business, the product and the decisions. We bring the setup work.

You provide:

  • A business entity with an EIN, a US address, bank and contact details.
  • Your selling history on other marketplaces or your own store.
  • GS1 barcodes, product data and images, and inventory for WFS.
  • 2 to 4 hours a week for decisions and approvals.

You pay directly:

inventory, freight, Walmart's referral fees, WFS fees and ad spend. Walmart charges no setup or monthly fee. Its referral fee depends on the item's category: 15% for the Everything Else category, and each category has its own rate (Walmart referral fee schedule, Mar 9, 2026). Walmart's own summary puts referral fees at 6% to 15% depending on category and total sales price (Walmart Marketplace, checked Oct 20, 2026).

Not included:

any approval promise; product research, sourcing or choosing products; company formation, tax or legal advice; any promise of sales, rankings or profit.

Already selling on Amazon or Shopify?

Then you need a Channel Launch, at the same $1,499: approval support, your catalog mapped to Walmart's attributes, one stock count with your other channels, WFS or 3PL setup and launch pricing. After launch, Walmart runs on your monthly plan alongside your other channels, so stock and prices stay in one plan.

After the 30 days

Three options, your choice:

  • Store Care

    from $399 a month.

  • Ops Desk

from $1,499 a month, for brands at $1M or more.

  • A written handover

of everything we set up, in your accounts.

Launching on more than one channel? Any two launches are $2,499 and all three are $3,499. See Amazon store launch, Shopify store setup or the Store Launch overview.

How to vet any Walmart launch provider

Ask these eight questions of anyone you are considering, including us.

  1. 01Is the price published, with scope?

It should be, before any sales call.

  2. 02Is the account in your business name, with Admin held by you?

    It should be.

  3. 03How are they paid?

A fixed fee should be fixed. If there is a commission, the rate should be in writing before you pay, with no promise of what you will earn attached.

  4. 04Does anyone promise sales or approval?

    Nobody can honestly promise either.

  5. 05Who does the daily work, by name?

You should know before you sign.

  6. 06What happens after day 30?

There should be a clear choice, including a written handover.

  7. 07What are the exit terms?

Access removed fast; your files stay yours.

  8. 08What access do they ask for?

Named users only, never your password.

For the full checklist, read how to vet a done-for-you store provider. For a step-by-step guide to selling on Walmart, see how to sell on Walmart.

The honest part

Most new stores take months to find steady sales, and some never do. Inventory, platform fees, freight and ad spend are paid by you and are not refundable by us if a product does not sell.

We never promise sales, profit or a date when you will earn back what you spend. Before you pay us anything, you get our scope document, our full fee schedule and a list of the costs you will carry on your own.

What it costs

Walmart Launch is $1,499, billed 50% at start and 50% at go-live. Account Setup alone is $299, credited in full to a Walmart Launch bought within 30 days. Any two launches are $2,499 and all three $3,499. These are fixed fees, never a percentage of your sales or ad spend. See pricing.

Founding clients: 20% off launch fees, add-ons and the Foundation, plus 20% off monthly plans for the first 6 months. Open to the first 25 clients or until Jan 31, 2027, whichever comes first.

Proof you can check before you sign

These are written commitments.

  • Published price and scope, with a "done when" test for every item.
  • Billing 50% at start and 50% at go-live.
  • Your named launch lead on the proposal before you sign.
  • Read and Write access for our named users; Admin stays with you. See security and access.
  • A real person replies within one business hour, 9am to 6pm US Central, Monday to Friday.

Questions

Questions about a Walmart marketplace launch

Talk to an ops lead (free)
How much does a Walmart marketplace launch cost?

Walmart Launch is $1,499 one time, with 30 days of support after go-live. Any two launches cost $2,499 and all three channels $3,499. Account Setup alone is $299 and is credited in full to a launch bought within 30 days. Walmart's referral fees, WFS fees, inventory and ad spend are paid by you directly.

How long does it take?

About 6 to 10 weeks from start to go-live. Walmart's business verification can take from a few minutes to a few business days, and the rest depends on your documents, your product data and your first WFS shipment. Walmart's review time is outside our control, so these are typical times rather than promises.

Can you promise Walmart will approve me?

No one can. Walmart decides every application and looks for a history of marketplace or ecommerce success, among other requirements. We prepare the application properly with you and tell you plainly, in your free Launch Readiness Check, if something is likely to cause a problem.

Do I need an LLC or EIN?

Walmart requires a business tax ID or business license number and does not accept a Social Security number. Ask your accountant or attorney which entity suits you; we do not give tax or legal advice. Company formation is not part of Walmart Launch.

Do I need GS1 barcodes?

Walmart asks for GTINs or UPCs with a GS1 company prefix. Some products may qualify for an exemption from product IDs, but most sellers need GS1 barcodes. We check your identifiers in the Launch Readiness Check, before any item setup starts.

What if Walmart declines my application?

We review the reason with you and guide a reapplication where one is possible. If you missed the 30-day payment setup deadline, the account is declined and you reapply. If the gap is selling history, the honest answer may be to build history on another channel first.

Who owns the account?

You do. It is in your business name, you hold the Admin role and the owner login, and every listing, setting and report stays yours. Our named users have Read and Write access, which is removed within 24 hours when the work ends.

Do you choose or source my products?

Not under Walmart Launch. Choosing what to sell stays your decision, and we check fees and margin on the products you choose. Product research and sourcing are part of Full Relay, our managed store service, where you still approve every product and supplier and pay suppliers directly.

Can I get New-Seller Savings?

Walmart decides eligibility. The program runs Feb 2, 2026 to Jan 31, 2027 for sellers who go live after Feb 1, 2026. Conditions apply. It offers up to $75K in incentives and benefits, including referral fee discounts and WFS fulfillment discounts. We track the opt-in steps with you.

What happens after 30 days?

Your choice: Store Care from $399 a month, Ops Desk from $1,499 a month for brands at $1M or more, or a written handover of everything we set up. Store Care and Ops Desk have a 3-month first term, then run month to month with 30 days' notice.
