Managed Amazon store service, from product research to daily running

Full Relay on Amazon is a managed Amazon store service that begins before you have a product.

We research what to sell using Amazon's own demand data, source it with you, set up your seller account and Brand Registry, ship your first stock into FBA and run the store every business day. The account, the brand and the inventory are yours, and you approve every product, supplier, price and purchase.

Performance model $2,499 plus a commission set in your agreement · Retainer $1,499 onboarding, then from $999 a month

Quick answer

A managed Amazon store is one where a team runs the seller account's daily work while the owner keeps the account and the decisions. Full Relay adds the steps most Amazon services skip: product research, supplier vetting and the first FBA shipment. You own the Seller Central account and pay Amazon and your supplier directly. Pricing is $2,499 plus a commission, or $1,499 then from $999 a month.

Most new stores take months to find steady sales, and some never do. Inventory, platform fees, freight and ad spend are paid by you.

What makes a managed Amazon store different from other channels

Amazon rewards preparation more than any other channel. Its fees are layered, its categories have gates, its prep rules are strict and its account health metrics can pause a store. A managed Amazon store service has to handle all of that before the first sale, not after.

Four Amazon rules shape how we run Full Relay here:

  • Fees stack per unit. A referral fee, an FBA fulfillment fee, storage and ads all come out of each sale. Amazon's referral fee is a percentage of the sale price that varies by category, with a minimum per item (sell.amazon.com, checked Oct 20, 2026). For 2026, Amazon added no new FBA fee types and raised US FBA fulfillment fees by an average of $0.08 per unit sold, effective Jan 15, 2026 (Amazon, Oct 15, 2025). We price every product after all of them before you buy a unit.
  • Some products need approval. Certain categories and products require Amazon's approval before you can list them, and some need test reports or certificates. We check that during research, not after the stock lands.
  • Prep is on you. Amazon stopped offering prep and item labeling services for US FBA shipments on Jan 1, 2026, so units must arrive labeled and packed to Amazon's rules (Amazon, Jul 28, 2025). We write the prep and labeling specification into your supplier's order.
  • Account health decides whether you can keep selling. We check it every business day and act on warnings the same business day.

What we do on Amazon, stage by stage

Every stage ends with something you approve. Here is how the general Full Relay scope plays out on Amazon.

StageOur work on AmazonDone when
Product researchDemand and competition from Amazon's own tools; referral and FBA fees per unit; category approval, safety and hazmat checksYou approve the products from a written shortlist
SourcingSuppliers vetted; samples checked against the listing claims; FBA prep, labeling and carton rules written into the orderYou approve the supplier and pay the order directly
Account and brandProfessional seller account in your name with identity verification support; Brand Registry application where you have a registered or pending trademarkThe account is active and you hold the owner login
ListingsTitles within 75 characters, bullets, images, A+ content once enrolled, written so Amazon's shopping assistant can answer shoppers' questionsListings are live, indexed and not suppressed
FBA launchShipment plan, labels, inbound tracked to check-in; launch campaigns on budget rules you approveFirst shipment received at Amazon and orderable
Daily runningOrders, buyer messages, account health, restock and reorder alerts, reimbursement claimsLogged every business day; weekly written update

On listings, Amazon caps product titles at 75 characters in every category except media (verified platform fact, Oct 2026). Amazon's Alexa for Shopping, which brings Rufus and Alexa+ together (Amazon, May 13, 2026), reads your listing to answer shoppers, so we write bullets and A+ content that state dimensions, materials, use cases and limits in plain words.

How we research products on Amazon

We start with demand Amazon itself measures, then work backward to whether a product's numbers can work after every cost. The full method is on our product research and sourcing page; these are the Amazon-specific parts.

  • Demand. Amazon's Product Opportunity Explorer in Seller Central groups products into niches and shows search volume for related terms, units sold over the past 90 days, price trends, average star ratings and how well searches turn into sales (Modern Retail, Oct 20, 2021). We read these for a niche, not a single listing, because one hot listing tells you little.
  • Competition. How many established listings own the first page, how many reviews they carry, how far apart their prices sit and whether one brand dominates. A niche where three listings hold 20,000 reviews each is a different fight from one where the leaders have 300.
  • Fees. Referral fees vary by category: 15% for Everything Else and many other categories, 8% for Computers, 20% for Gift Cards, and 20% on the part of a jewelry price up to $250, with a $0.30 minimum in most categories (sell.amazon.com/pricing, checked Oct 20, 2026). FBA fees depend on size and weight, so we weigh and measure samples rather than trust a spec sheet.
  • Gating and compliance. Children's products for ages 12 and under need a Children's Product Certificate based on testing by a CPSC-accepted third-party lab, and since Jul 8, 2026 importers of most regulated products must file certificate data electronically with US Customs (CPSC). Since April 2024, Amazon has required dietary supplements to be verified by a third-party testing, inspection and certification organization, started from the Manage Your Compliance dashboard (NutraIngredients, Apr 5, 2024). Products with batteries, liquids or aerosols go through Amazon's dangerous goods review. A product that fails these checks leaves the shortlist.
  • Inventory cost of being wrong. Amazon charges a low-inventory-level fee only when both the 30-day and 90-day historical days of supply fall below 28 days (verified platform fact, Oct 2026), and slow stock costs storage. So research includes a first order size you can sell through, not just a product idea.

Every shortlisted product reaches you with its numbers on one page. If they do not work, we say so and recommend you do not buy.

A worked example of Amazon unit math

This is the screening test a product has to pass before it reaches the shortlist. The figures are made up to show the method; they are not Amazon's current fees for any real product and not a forecast.

Illustrative · sample figures

LinePer unit
Planned price$29.99
Referral fee at 15%$4.50
FBA fulfillment fee (from the revenue calculator, by measured size and weight)$5.10
Landed cost (product, freight, duty, inspection, prep and inbound)$8.40
Advertising cost per unit sold during launch$5.00
Margin per unit, before storage, returns and overheads$6.99

Here the margin is about 23% of the price, so this sample product passes a 20% floor, if that is the floor you set. Change one line, say a $2.00 rise in landed cost after a tariff change, and it falls to $4.99, about 17%, and fails. That is the conversation we have with you before an order is placed. The table says nothing about how many units will sell or whether the store will make money overall; no one can tell you that in advance.

Account setup and Brand Registry

Your seller account opens in your business's name on Amazon's Professional plan, which costs $39.99 a month plus selling fees (sell.amazon.com/pricing, checked Oct 20, 2026). You complete identity verification with the documents we help you prepare, and you hold the owner login.

Brand Registry is free. It needs a pending or registered trademark for your brand name or logo with the government trademark office of a country where Amazon has a store, and a logo with your brand name permanently on the product or its packaging (Amazon Brand Registry, checked Oct 20, 2026). If you have no trademark yet, the USPTO base application fee is $350 per class, and law firms in Amazon's IP Accelerator cap their fee at $700 plus government fees (verified platform facts, 2026). Enrollment matters for Full Relay because Sponsored Brands ads are open only to professional sellers enrolled in Brand Registry (Amazon Ads, checked Oct 20, 2026), and A+ content needs it too. Read more on Amazon Brand Registry setup and protection.

New sellers can qualify for Amazon's New Seller Incentives, including Vine credit and a bonus on branded sales, each with conditions Amazon sets. We check your eligibility and track the deadlines; Amazon decides.

Daily running of your Amazon store

Once stock is live, the daily work is the same on every business day: orders and buyer messages, account health, inbound and restock, listing status and claims. You get a written log and a weekly update.

Every business dayEvery weekEvery month
Account Health checked; warnings acted on the same business dayWritten update: what was done, what is waiting, what is nextResults review: sales, fees, margin per unit and stock
Buyer messages answeredRestock plan and purchase orders sent for your approval; coupons and promotions proposed for your sign-offReimbursement claims filed and tracked, with no commission
Suppressed or stranded listings fixedSearch terms and ad spend reviewed against your budget rulesFee changes checked against your price floors
Inbound shipments tracked to check-inReviews and returns read for product problemsSupplier lead times and next order checked

Amazon's account health targets are an order defect rate under 1%, a pre-fulfillment cancellation rate below 2.5% and a late shipment rate ideally under 4% (sell.amazon.com, verified Oct 2026). The order defect rate counts orders with negative feedback, an A-to-z Guarantee claim or a service chargeback over a 60-day period, so customer messages are part of account health, not separate from it (Amazon, checked Oct 20, 2026). Lost or damaged FBA units are reimbursed at manufacturing cost from Mar 31, 2025. Claims for units lost or damaged in fulfillment centers are due within 60 days of the item being reported lost or damaged (verified platform facts, 2026). We file inside that window every month. More detail: account health management and FBA reimbursements.

Ad management is part of the Growth and Full Scale retainers. On Starter, or on the performance model where your agreement excludes it, our flat-fee Amazon PPC management add-on is available.

Both Full Relay pricing models work on Amazon. Starter covers one channel, so an Amazon-only store fits it.

When your store sells, we earn. When it does not, you owe no commission. The commission is never a promise that your store will sell or make a profit. The $2,499 service fee is paid at signing and is not tied to results. Retainers have a first term of 3 months, then run month to month with 30 days' notice. Prices exclude sales tax where it applies. Full terms are on Pricing and terms.

What you pay Amazon and others directly: the $39.99 monthly Professional plan, referral and FBA fees, storage, ad spend, your supplier, freight, duties, inspection and a trademark filing if you need one.

Who Full Relay on Amazon suits

It suits founders and companies who want to build a brand on Amazon, can fund a first order and launch ads, and want one team to carry the work from idea to daily running. It does not suit resellers without rights to a brand, anyone planning to dropship onto Amazon or anyone who wants to buy a running store.

If you already have a product and a supplier, Amazon store launch at a fixed $1,499 is the lighter path. If you sell on Amazon already and want help across channels, see Amazon store management.

We do not sell stores and we never promise income. If you want to check any provider, including us, our comparison of a managed store service and a store-for-sale program lists the tests.

Access and ownership on Amazon

You hold the Seller Central owner login. We work through named user access with multi-factor authentication, using the route Amazon currently approves for outside service providers, and never ask for your password. We take no access to bank, payout, tax or legal-entity settings. Remove us at any time; if the work ends, our access is removed within 24 hours. Full detail: security and access.

Ecomrelays LLC is a Texas company. Part of our team works outside the US, as one managed team with a named US-facing lead.

Questions

Questions owners ask about a managed Amazon store

Get a free Launch Readiness Check
How much does a managed Amazon store cost with Full Relay?

On the performance model, $2,499 at signing, then a commission on your store's results at a rate set in your written agreement. On the retainer, $1,499 onboarding, then $999 a month for an Amazon-only store with up to 10 SKUs, or $1,999 and $3,999 for more channels and SKUs. Amazon's fees, inventory, freight and ad spend are paid by you directly.

Who owns the Amazon seller account?

You do. It opens in your business's name, you complete Amazon's identity verification and you hold the owner login. Payouts go to your bank account. We work through named user access you can remove at any time.

Can you get my account or Brand Registry approved?

No. Amazon decides every verification, category approval and Brand Registry application. We prepare documents and applications properly and tell you what Amazon asks for at each step, but the decision is Amazon's, and we say so in writing.

Do I need a trademark?

You need a registered or pending trademark for Brand Registry, which you need for Sponsored Brands ads and A+ content. You can sell without it, but you lose those tools and some brand protection. The USPTO base fee is $350 per class; Amazon's IP Accelerator firms cap their fee at $700 plus government fees.

Will my Amazon store make money?

Nobody can honestly promise that. Most new stores take months to find steady sales, and some never do. We price each product after every Amazon fee before you buy, run the store daily and report every week, but sales depend on the product, the price, reviews, competition and ads.

Do you use FBA or ship orders yourselves?

We usually recommend FBA on Amazon, because FBA listings carry the Prime badge. Some bulky or slow-selling products cost less to ship from a 3PL. We compare both per product during research and recommend one; you decide.

Who pays the supplier?

You do, directly. We find and vet the supplier, check samples, negotiate price and terms and arrange inspection. You approve the supplier and pay them. Your money and stock never pass through us.

How long until my Amazon listings are live?

Typically 6 to 12 weeks from the start of research, with first stock checked in at Amazon toward the end of that window. These are typical times, not promises. Supplier lead times, ocean freight, Amazon's verification and its check-in times set the real pace.

What if I already sell on Amazon?

Full Relay can take over a running account and add new product lines through research and sourcing. If you only want daily running and no new products, Store Care or Ops Desk costs less. A free session with an ops lead will tell you which fits.

Full Relay also runs on other channels: see Full Relay on Walmart, Full Relay on Shopify or the overview of Full Relay, our managed store service.
