Product data feed management service for Amazon, Walmart and Shopify catalogs

Catalog Ready keeps one clean record per product and sends each channel the version it needs: titles inside each limit, complete attributes, valid GTINs and claims that match your packaging.

A product data feed management service keeps one clean record per product and sends it to each channel in the format that channel requires. Catalog Ready (RELAY-09) builds this for Amazon, Walmart and Shopify, and for search and AI shopping assistants: titles inside each limit, complete attributes, valid GTINs and claims that match your packaging. It is a standard Relay Module at $750.

How catalog data drifts apart

Product data drifts because it lives in too many places. The Amazon title was rewritten for the 75-character limit in July, the Walmart item still carries last year's attributes, the Shopify description mentions a material the supplier changed in spring and the "Made in USA" badge on one image no longer matches the packaging. Each channel is edited by a different person at a different time.

The result shows up as rejected uploads, suppressed or unpublished items and listings that assistants and search engines skip because a key attribute is blank. For the cause behind most Walmart cases, see Walmart item unpublished.

One master record per product

Every channel's version is built from one record, so a fix made once reaches every channel.

  • Brand
  • Title parts: brand, product, key attribute, size or count
  • Bullets or highlights
  • Description
  • Attributes by category
  • GTIN
  • Dimensions and weight
  • Materials
  • Country of origin
  • Claims and certifications, each linked to its document
  • Images

On Shopify, the record maps to products, variants and metafields in your store, which feed the sales channels you connect. If you also send feeds to Google Merchant Center or a Meta catalog, those are added in the spec.

Market context, kept apart from any promise: traffic from AI tools converted 42% better than other traffic to US retail sites in March 2026 (vendor estimate: Adobe, reported Apr 16, 2026). What assistants can read is what your data says. How Alexa for Shopping works for sellers is in our Alexa for Shopping guide.

What the product data feed management service checks, and when

Every business day:

rejected uploads, suppressed or unpublished items and any changes others make to your top listings.

Every week:

missing attributes, titles over limit, GTIN mismatches, claim mismatches and prices outside your rules (with Margin Guard installed).

Where you are the brand owner, Brand Registry tools are used to correct content on Amazon.

What it connects to

  • Amazon:

the Listings Items API and Product Type Definitions API, which state the required attributes for each product type; the Catalog Items API; the A+ Content API where you have Brand Registry. Notifications flag problems between checks: LISTINGS_ITEM_ISSUES_CHANGE for listing issues including suppression, LISTINGS_ITEM_STATUS_CHANGE for buyability changes and BRANDED_ITEM_CONTENT_CHANGE when someone changes the title, bullets, description or images on one of your brand's ASINs.

  • Walmart:

the Items API and item feeds; the Insights API for your Listing Quality score; the offer unpublished event.

  • Shopify:

products, variants and metafields, with Shopify Flow triggers such as "Product status updated" for changes.

  • Your document vault,

    shared with Account Health Watch.

Claims and documents

Every claim in the record, such as "organic", "Made in USA", "BPA-free" or "cruelty-free", links to the document that supports it in your vault. If a claim has no document, it does not go in the feed. Claim and fiber rules matter most in categories like apparel and footwear, where Walmart's textile policy applies.

Service or software

If your team has the time to run a feed tool, a tool may be enough, and we will say so. Catalog Ready builds the master record and the rules once, in tools you own, and documents them so your team can run them. On a monthly plan, our team keeps them current. We do not resell feed software.

Automated: validation against channel rules, feed generation, error reports and change detection on top listings. A person: rewrites titles and bullets in your voice, resolves errors and opens cases with the marketplace. Large rewrites use the published add-ons: listing creation at $79 per listing and A+ content at $249 per ASIN.

How the build runs and how you accept it

Week 1 is the spec: catalog size, channels, required fields and your claims list. Weeks 1 to 3 build the master record and validation. Weeks 3 to 4 run acceptance.

The acceptance tests in a typical Catalog Ready spec:

  • Every active product has a master record with each channel's required fields.
  • A validation run returns no blocking errors, or a named exception list.
  • Titles are inside each channel's limit.
  • Every claim links to a document.
  • A test change in the master record reaches every channel's feed in one sync.
  • Documentation is stored in your workspace.

Price, timing and what you own

Catalog Ready is a standard module: $750, with catalog size set in the spec and large catalogs quoted in writing before the build. It takes 1 to 4 weeks. You pay 50% at the start and 50% at acceptance; anything that fails acceptance is fixed free for 60 days. Module Care is included on any monthly plan, or 10% of the build cost a year otherwise. Full terms are on pricing.

Founding offer: 20% off the module build, plus 20% off monthly plans for the first 6 months, for our first 25 clients or until Jan 31, 2027, whichever comes first.

The master record, rules and feeds stay in your accounts. Named user access with multi-factor authentication. Never your owner password. No bank, payout or legal-entity permissions. If you want us to run your catalog day to day, see Amazon listing and catalog management and Walmart listing optimization. "Not as described" returns flagged by Returns Relay come back here for a fix. All ten modules are on the Relay Modules hub.

Questions

How much does Catalog Ready cost?

It is a one-time $750 build for the catalog size set in your spec; large catalogs are quoted in writing first. If listings need rewriting, the published add-ons apply: $79 per listing and $249 per ASIN for A+ content. Any feed software stays in your name.

Do you resell feed software?

No. If a feed tool is the right answer, you subscribe directly and own it. We build the master record and rules in the tools you already have where they can hold them, and recommend options in writing where they cannot.

Will this improve our rankings?

No one can promise rankings, and we do not. What Catalog Ready does is remove the data errors that get listings rejected, suppressed or unpublished. It also fills the attributes each channel asks for. What happens to rank after that depends on price, stock, reviews and competition.

Does it cover AI shopping assistants?

It makes your product data complete, consistent and accurate across channels, which is the data assistants and search engines have to work with. On Amazon, Alexa for Shopping, which brings Rufus and Alexa+ together, shows AI overviews on product detail pages, and those pages are built from your listing data. We do not claim any special access to how assistants choose products.

How do you handle claims like "Made in USA"?

Each claim needs a supporting document in your vault, or it stays out of the feed. On Walmart, a "Made in the USA" claim must match across images, packaging and item attributes, or the item is unpublished, so all three are checked together.

How large a catalog can it cover?

The spec sets the catalog size and the channels before the build starts. Large catalogs, or catalogs with many variants per product, are quoted in writing before any work begins, so the price never changes after you approve it. If only part of the catalog is in poor shape, we can start with your top sellers and add the rest later.
