GUIDES
Best ecommerce operations agencies in 2026: a disclosed buyer's guide
There is no single best ecommerce operations agency, and any list that names one without showing its method is an advertisement. This guide scores 10 US-serving ecommerce operations agencies on a published rubric: published prices, contract terms, operations scope, channels, access, response times, reviews and transparency. Every score uses only public information we could check on Oct 20, 2026, with the page we checked listed for each provider. On that rubric Sequence Commerce scored highest (58 of 100), then Eva Commerce (48). Read the evidence, not just the totals: the rubric measures what providers publish, not how well they do the work.
Disclosure: Ecom Relays wrote this guide. We sell ecommerce operations services and compete with every provider in it. We are excluded from the ranking because we publish it; our own score, on the same rubric, is shown separately at the end. No provider paid to be listed. We take no affiliate fees and trade no links.
Key takeaways
- Most providers publish very little about price and almost nothing about contract terms. Of the 10 we scored, 2 publish a starting price for their core service and 1 publishes any contract term.
- Scope is easier to find than price. Most describe listings and account health; only 1 describes handling order exceptions.
- Access is the quiet gap. Only 2 of the 10 say anything public about how they access your seller accounts.
- Low scores here usually mean "not published", not "not done". Ask for the missing items in writing before you sign.
- The rubric is ours, and it rewards the things we chose to publish. We say that plainly below so you can weigh it.
How we chose and scored ecommerce operations agencies
We included a provider if it serves US brands, offers operations work beyond advertising (account management, catalog, inventory, account health or fulfillment) and has a public website with a way to contact it. We started from the agencies that appear for operations searches in our October 2026 research and kept the 10 that met all three tests.
We excluded providers that sell stores, promise earnings or split profits. We do not name them here; our guide to telling a managed store service from a store-for-sale program explains the warning signs.
The rubric and its weights, set before we scored anyone:
| Criterion | Weight | How points are given |
|---|---|---|
| Published prices | 15 | 15: fixed prices for the core operations service. 8: a published starting price for it. 4: prices for other services only. 0: none found |
| Published contract terms | 15 | 15: first term, notice period and exit fees all published. 8: at least one published. 0: none found |
| Operations scope in writing | 20 | Six areas: inventory, listings and catalog, order exceptions, customer support, 3PL or fulfillment coordination, account health. 6 areas 20; 5 areas 17; 4 areas 13; 3 areas 10; 2 areas 6; 1 area 3 |
| Channels covered | 10 | Amazon, Walmart and Shopify described as services: three 10, two 7, one 4 |
| Access model | 10 | 10: a published policy covering named users, no shared passwords and no bank or payout permissions. 5: a published practice covering at least one. 0: none found |
| Written response times | 10 | 10: a response time for client requests with a remedy if missed. 6: a response time for client requests. 3: a response time for new inquiries only. 0: none found |
| Third-party reviews | 10 | 10: a review profile we opened with 50+ reviews and a rating of 4.0+. 7: 20 to 49 reviews at 4.0+, or 50+ at 3.5 to 3.9. 4: fewer than 20, or a rating shown on the provider's own site that we could not open. 0: none found |
| Transparency | 10 | Named leaders, a legal entity name and a street address: all three 10, two 7, one 3, none 0 |
How we worked:
- Public facts only.
We read each provider's own pages and its public review profiles on Oct 20, 2026. We did not use private quotes, sales calls, leaked documents or opinions from former clients.
- "Not found" means not on the pages we checked.
Each profile lists those pages. A provider may publish something elsewhere; if it does, we will rescore.
- No paid placement.
No provider paid, was offered anything or was asked for anything.
- Corrections.
Each provider receives its profile before publication and can correct facts within 10 business days. Corrections are logged in the changelog at the end.
- Rescoring.
We rescore every quarter and show the date on each profile.
Our bias, stated plainly. We publish our prices, terms, access rules and response times, and this rubric gives points for exactly those things. A provider that does excellent work and publishes nothing will score low here. That is a limit of the method, and the reason every score below is broken down by criterion with its evidence. If a criterion does not matter to you, ignore it and re-add the rest.

Provider profiles
Each profile says what the provider describes on its own pages, what it publishes on price and terms, the evidence behind each score and who it may and may not suit. "Last scored" is the date we read the pages.

What it does.
An Amazon and marketplace agency with offices in Brampton, Ontario and New York. Its Amazon account management page describes daily operations: FBA inventory and shipment creation, restock recommendations, listing updates and catalog structure, buyer messages answered by an in-house team, daily checks of order defect rate, late shipment rate and cancellation rate, weekly dashboards and customer service from an in-house team in Toronto and New York. Who we left out, and why
Some well-known names do not appear because they did not meet the inclusion test on the pages we checked, not because of their quality.
- Shopify development agencies
that publish project prices but no ongoing store operations scope. They may suit a build or a migration better than daily operations.
- Enterprise media agencies
whose public pages describe advertising and media rather than marketplace operations.
- Store-for-sale and profit-split programs,
excluded by rule. See how to vet a store provider.
If you run an operations provider that meets the test and is not listed, write to us and we will score you at the next quarterly review.
How to choose an ecommerce operations agency
Choose on four things, in this order: whether the scope covers the work you actually need done, whether the terms let you leave, who will do the work and how they access your accounts. Price comes after those, because a cheap provider that cannot do the work costs more than an expensive one that can.
- 01Write your own scope first.
List the daily, weekly and monthly work: inventory and purchase orders, listings, order exceptions, support, returns, 3PL, account health, reimbursements and reporting. Ask each provider to mark what is included.
- 02Ask for the contract before the call.
First term, notice period, exit fees, what you keep when you leave and how fast access is removed.
- 03Meet the named lead.
The person who will run your account, not the person who sells it, and how many other brands they run.
- 04Ask how they will access each channel.
Named user access on Amazon, a limited role on Walmart with Admin kept by you and collaborator access on Shopify, and never your password. Our security and access page shows what good looks like.
- 05Ask for the fee at your size and at double your size,
in writing. Percentage fees grow with you.
- 06Read reviews on a site the provider does not control,
and read the one-star reviews.
Our compare hub sets out the main routes side by side, and the VA vs agency vs operations team comparison helps if you are not yet sure you need an agency at all. If you are choosing a provider to run a whole store for you, use our 12 questions for choosing a managed store service. The rest of our ecommerce operations guides explain the fees and rules any provider will be working with.

Red flags in operations contracts
The most expensive problems sit in the contract, not the price. Our cost guide lists 12 clauses to read before you sign, each with what good looks like. The five that matter most:
- a first term longer than 3 months, or auto-renewal for a full term
- exit fees, or a percentage of revenue with no cap
- the provider keeping listings, automations, SOPs or reports when you leave
- any request for your owner password, bank or payout access
- outcome promises: sales, rankings, approvals or reinstatement
Where Ecom Relays fits (we publish this guide)
We are excluded from the ranking because we publish it. Here is our own score on the same rubric, with the same evidence standard, so you can compare.
| Prices | Terms | Scope | Channels | Access | Response | Reviews | Transparency | Score |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 15 | 15 | 20 | 10 | 10 | 10 | 4 | 7 | 91 |
- Prices:
every price is published on our pricing page, from Store Care at $399 a month to Ops Desk Scale from $4,499 a month.
- Terms:
Store Care and Ops Desk have a 3-month first term, then month to month with 30 days' notice by email, and no exit fee.
- Scope:
Ops Desk runs inventory and purchase orders, listings and catalog, order exceptions, tier-one support and returns, 3PL coordination and invoice checks, daily account health and reimbursement claims.
- Access:
named users only, never your password, no bank, payout or legal-entity permissions, access removed within 24 hours.
- Response:
client requests get a first reply within 4 business hours (1 hour for urgent issues), with a 10% service credit in any month under 95%.
- Reviews:
2 reviews on Trustpilot, rated 3.7 (checked Oct 20, 2026). That is a thin record, and we score it as one.
- Transparency:
Ecomrelays LLC, 597 Mountcastle Dr, Rockwall, TX 75087. Our named leaders are not yet on the site.
Read the score with care. It is high because this rubric rewards what we chose to publish. It cannot show how well we do the work, and our public track record is short: two reviews and no published case studies. Ecomrelays LLC is a Texas company. Part of our team works outside the US, as one managed team with a named US-facing lead.
If you are at $1M or more a year and want to see how we would work on your store first, a free Profit Leak Scan is a report within 48 hours of working access, with no sales call required.
Changelog
- Oct 20, 2026: first scoring of 10 providers from public pages and review sites. Profiles to be sent to each provider for factual correction before publication.
Who is the best ecommerce operations agency?
There is no single best one; it depends on your channels, the work you need done and the terms you can accept. On our published rubric, Sequence Commerce scored highest (58 of 100) and Eva Commerce second (48) on Oct 20, 2026. The rubric measures what providers publish, so read the per-criterion evidence before deciding.
How did you score the agencies?
On eight criteria, weighted before scoring: published prices (15), contract terms (15), operations scope (20), channels (10), access model (10), response times (10), third-party reviews (10) and transparency (10). Each criterion has a fixed points scale. We used only public pages and review sites, checked on Oct 20, 2026. The pages we read are listed under each provider.
Why isn't Ecom Relays in the ranking?
Because we publish the guide. Ranking ourselves would be a claim we cannot fairly make about our own company. We show our score on the same rubric in a separate box, with the same evidence, and say why it is high: the rubric rewards what we publish. We have little public track record yet.
Did any agency pay to be included?
No. No provider paid, was offered anything or was asked for anything. We take no affiliate fees and exchange no links. Each provider gets its profile before publication and can correct facts within 10 business days; every correction is logged in the changelog on this page.
How much does an ecommerce operations agency cost?
Published starting prices among the providers here run from $900 a month (Sequence Commerce) to $2,500 a month (Eva Commerce) for a core service. Market ranges for Amazon agencies run from $1,500 to $25,000+ a month by revenue band (SupplyKick, Sep 14, 2026, vendor estimate). Our cost guide breaks this down by size and fee model.
Why do most agencies score low on price and terms?
Because most do not publish them. Of the 10 providers, 2 publish a starting price for their core service and 1 publishes any contract term. That does not mean their terms are bad. It means you need to ask for the first term, notice period, exit fees and your fee at double your size, in writing.
Can an agency correct its profile?
Yes. Before publication every provider receives its profile and has 10 business days to correct facts, with a link to the page that shows the correct information. After publication, corrections are welcome at any time and are logged with a date. We rescore every provider each quarter.
